- Male homo sapiens cyclensis. I cycle therefore I am. O.K. I don't cycle that much and I do do other stuff. Needed a challenge and this trip is certainly that - all the better for being for such an excellent cause. Will be missing 20th wedding anniversary - but hoping to get Lucy out to Barcelona for late celebration (and ointment) if she'll forgive me.

- Regular downland mountain biker. Recently skipped my old Viscount touring bike due to disuse and obsolescence (fortunately someone took pity on it).
